THE STORIES BEHIND
THE FOUND CANVASES
The Golden Exhale

This painting was created after a long pause from art.
I hadn't touched paint in a while.

When I began, something softened immediately.
The strokes came quickly - warm, expansive, unforced. It felt like coming home to myself.

The orange tones hold the energy of returning light. The kind of warmth that doesn't rush you - it simply surrounds you. There was no overthinking in this piece. Only flow, only release, only breath.

It carries the hope of summer. The promise that even after colder seasons, warmth finds its way back.

If you found one of these canvases, perhaps it found you too - as a small reminder that your own warmth is not gone. It is simply waiting to rise.

"I trust the return of warmth.
I trust the return of me"

The Earth Wakes

This piece was painted in a moment of new energy.

After stillness, after pause - there was movement again. The greens came forward instinctively. Layered, repeating, reaching.

It felt like standing at the edge of spring. Like the first day you notice the air has shifted. Like the earth stretching after a long sleep.

The brush moved in rhythm - almost repetative - as if mimicking nature's quiet persistence. Growth does not rush. It returns in patterns. In cycles. In steady becoming.

The canvas carries the energy of renewal. Of shoots pushing through the soil. Or light finding leaves again.

If you found this piece, perhaps it arrived as a reminder: even when everything looks dormant, life is still turning beneath the surface.

"Spring is inevitable.
So is my becoming"

The Holding of Both

This series of 9 was created after an EMDR session.

That morning something old was touched. My nervous system had opened a door that had been waiting.

There was beauty in the release but also heaviness in the days that followed. A quiet funk. A reminder that healing is not only light - it is integration.

This series honors the truth that emotions move like weather. They pass, they shift, they soften.

And sometimes the bravest thing we can do is allow both the sun and the clouds to share the sky.

"I can hold both.

I trust the turn of my inner weather"
